The workshop will begin with a fascinating social experiment: a live jam session. Using the example of jamming, I will show how the process of functioning of jazz bands can be applied into the work of business teams.

Key takeaways:

  • Insights into the workings of cohesive teams
  • Tips on how to improve team collaboration and performance
  • Awareness of the leader’s responsibilities in self-managed teams
  • Insights into the shift from “ego” to “eco”

In a world where even the best products may not guarantee success, the key question becomes: is designing a solution the ultimate goal of business analysis? In an era of constant and widespread organizational transformation, business analysis serves not only to understand customer needs but, above all, to transform these needs into lasting value.
What specific elements are necessary for a comprehensive analysis that also allows for incremental and iterative solution modeling? What is essential for strengthening our solution and enhancing the value it provides? Delving deeper, we will move from user needs, through the potential offered by the solution, to adoption and sustained value generation. I invite you to a discussion on how to practically build these stages and adapt them to the specific needs of a given project or product, utilizing GenAI tools. We will discuss best practices and specific examples illustrating how business analysis serves not only as a local tool for understanding the customer but also as a way to operationalize strategy at the organizational level.
I particularly invite those experienced in product development and the execution of complex projects, interested in deepening their knowledge, exchanging practical tips, and structuring their approach, with a focus on business and organizational perspectives.

What specific elements are necessary for the analysis to comprehensively cover the entirety while also allowing for incremental and iterative solution modeling? What is essential in strengthening our solution and reinforcing the value it brings? Delving into the topic, we will move from user needs through the potential provided by the solution to adoption and sustainable value generation. I invite you to discuss how to practically build these stages and adapt them to the specific needs of a given project or product. We will discuss best practices and concrete examples that illustrate how business analysis serves not only as a local tool for understanding the customer but also as a way to operationalise strategy.

I particularly welcome individuals experienced in product development and the execution of complex projects, interested in deepening their knowledge, exchanging practical tips, and (even further) structuring their approach.

09:55 – 10:15 – Break

10:15 – 11:00 – Lectures – Block 2

The number of changes we encounter almost every day is enormous. Often, before we fully accept and implement one change, another one appears. On top of that, there is time pressure, communication chaos, uncertainty, and additional responsibilities. In times when organisations are inundated with an unusually high level of change, how can we take care of people? How should we approach planning the next change with mindfulness towards employees, their key role in delivering value, and their needs? How can we go through transformation without burning out? I will try to answer these questions during my lecture.

For years, cinema has fed us with authoritative leadership styles like Miranda Priestly (“The Devil Wears Prada”) or Frank Underwood (“House of Cards”). It’s no wonder that in today’s world, the prevailing opinion is that an effective leader is an extroverted person, full of charisma and energy, who easily makes connections and inspires others to act. However, increasing research indicates that introverts, with their capacity for deep reflection, focus on listening, and tendency to build deep relationships, can also be outstanding leaders. This lecture aims to uncover how introverted traits can form the foundation of effective servant leadership.

11:00 – 11:25 – Coffee break

11:25 – 12:10 – Lectures – Block 3

In the field of artificial intelligence (AI), there are many important areas related to ethics. It is worth paying attention to fairness, data privacy, transparency, accountability, regulations, the future of work, AI safety, and the impact on democracy and information manipulation. The development of AI requires consideration of these issues to ensure beneficial and responsible use of technology. These are the areas that will be discussed during the debate “Ethics in AI,” to which we have invited experts from various fields related to AI, project management, and business analysis.

Nowadays, we hear that one of the conditions for companies to become nimble and build products effectively is collaboration. To build the right things correctly, we need cross-functional teams working together to achieve the same goal.

Easy to say, hard to implement? Right?

I observe that building diverse teams is quite often a weak point during strategy implementation.

So, how to make it work?

It is not enough to just tell people from different departments like customer service, marketing, operations and development: please, come and work together. They have different ways of working, habits, functional leads, and even tools they use for task planning. A leader’s facilitation is crucial. But how exactly do we make it work?

I will share some case studies from my experience of what works and what does not when I organize cross-functional teams to make them work towards the same goal.

Only real practical examples from my experience of building cross-functional teams! I will share my concrete tools that you can take and use right after this presentation.

Learning objective

  • Tools for an effective cross- functional team work
  • Leadership facilitation ‘how to’
  • How to switch from hierarchy to collaboration and achieve goals

Change is the only constant in today’s world. Regardless of whether, as project managers, we decide to develop vertically in our profession or we dream of mythical stability and peace, changes are inevitable. But what happens when we leave the familiar waters of project management and head towards product management?

We still call ourselves PMs, but is that the only aspect that remains the same? What previous experiences can support us in the new role, and what will become an obstacle? What do we gain and what will we miss? What surprised Marta personally on this path and would she make a similar decision again?

We will learn the answers to these and other questions during the lecture “From Project Management Towards Product Management – Still in the Role of a PM but in a Different Way”

12:10 – 12:30 – Break

12:30 – 13:00 – Lectures – Block 4

Transparency necessitates authentic and open communication, enabling a thorough assessment of progress and identification of risks. However, fear of honesty and avoiding responsibility can obscure reality. Many organisations struggle with a silo culture where blaming and lack of collaboration are very common. This creates an environment that hinders effective exchange of ideas and the development of team dynamics.

“Lost in Translation” is an invitation to actively participate in creating an environment where communication becomes a tool for building bridges, not walls. There will be no “silver bullets”. But perhaps you will finally start asking yourself uncomfortable questions about your own organisation and its culture.

Are you wondering whether a single individual can truly steer an organization's culture towards
transformation? Join us for an insightful discussion on this pertinent topic.

What exactly is organizational culture?

Can it be effectively measured and managed?

And what does it take to initiate meaningful change within an organization’s cultural landscape?

We’ve all experienced the pervasive influence of organizational culture, yet do we truly comprehend
its significance?

Who bears the responsibility for shaping and nurturing it?

It’s akin to the air we breathe or the force of gravity—it’s omnipresent, but how can we actively
engage with it?

In collaboration with Pawel Dudek, a Prosci® Certified Advanced Instructor and seasoned leader with
extensive experience as a CEO of private and state-owned enterprises, as well as a proficient project
manager and consultant, we’ll delve into the intricacies of organizational culture transformation.

Together, we’ll examine real-life case studies to glean insights into the profound impact of culture on
productivity and overall outcomes within our respective companies.

Are you spearheading a cultural transformation project within your organization?

Is your company currently undergoing significant cultural shifts?

All knowledge will be taught in a series of practical, hands-on exercises based on over a decade of trainer’s experience, that simulate real-world business situations and their consequences. This training session will be worth your time if you’re a PM, C-level, or any other role that works with data regularly and would like to get a better grasp of what can and cannot be realistically expected from data science and analytics.

Participants will learn how to harness the power of data using BI for informed decision-making, effective project planning, and proactive trend identification. The workshop will cover data analysis techniques, dashboard creation and customisation, and applying data-driven insights to project management scenarios. Participants are kindly requested to bring their own laptops.

How should one manage projects with unpredictable business results? During the workshop we will try to answer the question whether the current approach to software development follows the latest trends and allows use of AI.

Have you ever wondered why some voices in your team are louder than others? Have you ever felt that ideas or concerns aren’t heard if they come from colleagues who are considered less important or are a lower rank in the company? This workshop provides a practical approach to building an inclusive environment and fostering mutual understanding within your team. We will also explore strategies for building more transparent and inclusive communication practices.

Teams are characterised by a variety of what can be called ‘Thinking Styles’ and ‘Action Styles’. Achieving effective communication and high levels of collaboration among team members is a challenge for many organisations. FRIS® can help with this – it quickly and easily assesses team potential, recommends career paths, and provides tips on how to communicate better (to find out more about the model, visit https://fris.pl)

The model can help team members understand how they think and operate differently, which can lead to improved communication and collaboration.

We invite you to interactive workshops that will take you into the future of project management! We will work dynamically in teams, allowing for the exchange of experiences and ideas.

We will focus on developing the four key future competencies from the PMI Pulse of the Profession report: communication, collaborative leadership, problem solving, and strategic thinking.

We will analyze major trends in project management, with particular emphasis on hybrid approaches and the impact of generative artificial intelligence on project management. The workshops will be filled with practical tasks that will help you apply the acquired knowledge to real projects. It will be a great opportunity to exchange ideas and strategies with other participants, gaining new perspectives and inspiration.

The workshops are for everyone who wants to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in project management and develop their competencies to succeed in a dynamically changing business environment. Join us and prepare for a new era in project management!

Effective organisational change inevitably involves taking risks, whether we’re adapting to seize business opportunities or evading the repercussions of potential threats. Both we and our stakeholders will face uncertainty in multiple facets. It’s our choice how we navigate this. Some try to eliminate risk almost entirely, prolonging the change project indefinitely. Others frighten stakeholders, forcing them to confront the abyss of the unknown. Fortunately, there are more effective approaches…

This presentation draws upon my practical experience in change and transformation projects where we navigated immense uncertainty. The luxury of making decisions based on a complete understanding or relying on past experiences was absent. Instead, we had to abandon the notion of categorising decisions as good or bad, right or wrong. Operating in uncertainty demands making decisions based on potential outcomes and our level of preparedness.

During the lecture we’re diving deep into the potential and impact of Resource Management Organization (RMO) in shaping company strategy, delivery, and people management within the dynamic IT sector.

In this session, we’ll begin by laying the foundation, discussing the essence of resource management and its pivotal role in organizational success. From there, we’ll explore the anatomy of RMO, dissecting its structure, including the establishment of a resource pool, collaboration with department heads, and the overall organizational framework.

12:00 – 12:45 – Lunch

12:45 – 15:55 – Workshops

As Project Management experts with years of experience, we pride ourselves on successfully delivering client projects. We’d also like to believe that it is primarily our expertise (or lack of it) that led to the outcomes we achieved.
But is that really true? Does pure technical expertise / genius guarantee success?
If that was true, why do so many technically brilliant individuals fail when working (with teams) to deliver results?
What role does trust play in successful project delivery, and is subject matter expertise / technical genius the most critical part of building Trust?
If this got you thinking, then please join this workshop on ‘Trust & its role on Project Success’ on _____ which will be facilitated by Vivek Antonio.
This 3-hour workshop will explore the elements of the Trust Equation and how you can leverage its power to build stronger relationships to deliver even better results.
Participant benefits /

Program objectives:

  • Identify key clients to build trusted relationships
  • Explain the elements of the Trusted Advisor equation and the associated behaviors
  • Apply the identified behaviors to build trusted relationships

Identifying sources of problems -> Designing solutions -> Effectively implementing changes

  • If you have too many problems on your mind and don’t know what to put your hands into
  • If you are constantly putting out fires and don’t have time for other things
  • If your organization was thriving, but something broke and you don’t know how to get out of it
  • If you take actions that get stuck or have no effect, and the problems keep coming back
then this workshop is exactly for you!

Participants will learn the methodological way of solving dilemmas. Instead of settling for one of the two diametrically opposed ideas, they will learn how to produce a synthesis that is superior to both.

Embark on an insightful workshop where we’ll unravel the intricacies of organisational culture. The current economic landscape demands a strategic approach to managing vision, values, and change to effectively achieve organisational goals. During this workshop, you’ll step into the shoes of a leader, guiding an organisation through a cultural transformation while considering macroeconomic factors.

On the programme:

  • The world of VUCA, BANI and cultural challenges
  • Identification of the strengths and weaknesses of the culture supporting the development of the organization
  • How to communicate vision, values and changes
  • Implementing changes and building a culture that supports empowerment
  • Cultivating organizational culture and success indicators

The workshop provides participants with an extraordinary opportunity to explore the secrets of the power of persuasion through the art of voice manipulation and voice work. During the workshop, the participant will discover the potential of his or her voice and learn how to speak with strength and power to convince listeners and be heard. After completing the workshop, the participant will also know how to effectively reduce stress levels during public speaking, meetings with the team or other stakeholders, as well as how to use their voice as a tool for effective communication.

Cooperation between a business analyst and a project manager often becomes the subject of heated discussions and, sometimes, the subject of jokes. During the workshop, we will focus on a key element of this cooperation: the project planning phase. We will consider whether planning is solely the domain of the project manager, what expectations the analyst should have towards the manager, and what requirements the project manager should place on the analyst so that their activities are consistent and bring effective results. We will discuss what plans are necessary and what key decisions need to be made before taking action.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to work on a specific case study, using the best practices from the BABOK Guide. We will check how theoretical approaches work in practical examples, which will help to understand the dynamics of effective cooperation in real project conditions

Training goals:

  • Exploring the mechanisms of cooperation between the project manager and the business analyst in the action planning process – participants will gain knowledge about effective coordination and communication between these two key roles in the project.
  • Providing practical tools for immediate application – the workshop will provide participants with specific methods and tools that can be used immediately after the meeting to improve planning and collaboration processes in their own projects.
  • Clarifying and establishing a clear division of roles and responsibilities – participants will learn how to precisely define and divide tasks and responsibilities between a business analyst and a project manager, which is crucial for the efficient conduct and management of projects.

Deadline after deadline, the boss always wants something, traffic jams on the road and presentations still need to be prepared. The head is steaming, the brain is overloaded! On top of all this, many situations arise in a PM’s life that we have no control over, which may cause additional stress. Sound familiar?

The success of our work often depends on the ability to cooperate and build good relationships with others. But this can’t be done when our fuel tank is empty. That’s why it’s so important to take care of yourself first.

If the above resonates with you, I invite you to a meeting!

During the workshop:

  • You will learn what mental energy is and why it is worth taking care of it
  • You will learn what are thinking traps and automatisms, why do we do certain things the way we do and can it be changed?
  • You will learn how the brain, emotions and body are connected and how they influence our behavior
  • You will receive practical tools and techniques that will allow you to take care of yourself to build better relationships (not only at work)
  • You will learn how to build resilience and resistance to stress

The impact of AI on the labor market is not a distant future, but something that is happening right under our nose. However, no one knows what the scale of changes will be, which professions will disappear, which will remain, and which will undergo a significant metamorphosis. Professions such as project manager or analyst are no exception. The incredible pace of change gives us a narrow window to prepare for the coming reality. Therefore, the workshop is dedicated to people who want to be two steps ahead, to be able to take action and be prepared.

During the workshop, participants:

  • will test various readily-available solutions on the market in the context of the role of a PM and an analyst,
  • learn the most effective techniques for communicating with models,
  • become familiar with the most common mistakes when using AI tools in their work,
  • learn about various scenarios of the impact of AI on their work environment in the near future,
  • recognise how to look for areas where AI can help them in their work and life today,
  • will learn how to gain knowledge from some sources and how to develop further in the field of AI technology,
  • will (likely) change their perception of AI and the urgency to adapt to the coming changes.

If this topic resonates with you, I cordially invite you to join the workshops.

According to data presented by Altassian 1, people involved in project management spend an average of 31 hours a month on meetings – and 71% of people consider most of these meetings to be a waste of time. More than half of respondents admit that they do other things during online meetings – work, sleep, or browse the Internet. However, this does not have to be the case – during the workshop you will learn how to conduct meetings in an engaging way to win the battle for attention with social media. We will start with the basics – writing an action-oriented agenda, setting a good meeting time, inviting the right participants. We will work with Powerpoint – we will show how to present data in a more engaging way and prove that the side of the presentation you insert graphics on actually matters. Finally, we will work on the quality of your speech – you will learn what to say when you don’t know what to say, how to control the “eee”, how to break an embarrassing silence, make small talk and draw the participants’ attention to the fact that they are straying from the topic. Thanks to this workshop, you will learn tips and tricks that will make your meetings more effective and engaging – which will translate into their greater value for you and your project.

As the IT sphere is speeding up, it becomes extremely important for the IT companies to process the initial Customers request with the best possible quality. As the BAs are actively involved in the process, we need to demonstrate our expertise and find out all the information needed for a quite fair estimation of the efforts required. During our workshop I’ll try to share the knowledge of Andersen’s company on providing the Discovery activities with best practices and our own useful tips based on the imaginary RFX from the Customer. See you in PAM Summit!

What if there was something you could do that would make people give more and want to do more?

No, I am not talking about Fruit Thursday, nor another benefit! That’s appreciation! Just say “good job” and tick, it’s done! Simple, right?
Not at all! You see, when most people think about appreciation, they think of “good job” or they simply don’t want to do it because they simply see it as being buttered up
That’s why I invite you to a unique workshop where we will look at communication and authentic self-expression in moments when we really want to appreciate someone. I will show you how to listen empathetically to another person and appreciate them so that the other person leaves the meeting satisfied, happy and motivated! I cordially invite you!
